Season for Everything
Maybe there are things we need to shed.
Somethings meant for another season.
Like leaves falling from the trees in autumn.
No one questions why the tree doesn’t hold onto its leaves in the dead of winter.
No one questions why the snow won’t linger in the heat of summer.
“There is a season for everything under the sun.”
So gaze on the beauty of flowers in the spring.
Soak up the sun on your skin in the summer.
Crunch through the falling leaves in autumn.
And make snowmen in the winter.
Allow your season to be your season.
Wait patiently and be present. Because you can neither hurry it along or will it to stay.
