Leaves in Autumn
When leaves drop to the ground
Do they think they are falling or flying?
How beautiful that they flutter in the wind
And dance all the way to the ground
Accepting age that comes in seasons
Marking the forward movement of time
And embracing the beauty in shades
Without hesitation or refrain
Though they know winter is coming
There is purpose and dignity in the dying
Because death brings forth new life
So what reason is there to sorrow
