When life hands you lemons

Make Lemonade

Or so they say

But I have never seen lemonade

Listed as a recommended substitute

On any recipe

For perfectly good lemons

A tree cannot be faulted

For producing beautiful

Juicy, tart lemons

Just because they are not sweet

We must train our palate to appreciate

All the life brings our way

Without covering it with sugar

To mask the taste

Next time life hands us lemons

Let us praise God for such a beautiful fruit

And ask Him what he would have us do with them
