Beauty in Consistency

When you get discouraged

Please remember

That God never lets the corruption

Distract him from determining the sun to rise each morning

He is never too busy 

Or bored by the monotony of consistency

To be deterred from painting a beautiful sunrise

That is equal parts expected

And astonishingly unique

He gives full attention to the world and all its chaos

Cradling you in his merciful hand

And painting a magnificent reminder

That the brokenness will not win

And destruction will not last

Each brush stoke speaks of hope

Each color writes peace in the sky

There was beauty determined from the begin

To overcome the dark night

The beauty in consistency is not monotony, but the layers in the canvas that begin to shape a beautiful picture when each day you show up to paint
