The harder I try to create peace around me

The more chaos is stirred in my heart

The chaos of frustration, resentment and anger

When the world doesn’t play by my rules

We are promised peace 

But not quiet

Calm

And ease

We are promised that there will be trouble

Strife

And grumbling

And yet peace

Search for peace where it’s promised

And find it

Within

Find your own calm in the storm

Dwelling in the inner most places

Where He promised to be all along

Peace is promised within us

Not around us

Peace is a person
