A Seed can be a Flower

Everything must grow into what it is

Everything starts with a spark

A seed

And grows into maturity

Most don’t  notice the seed

Even less nurture the seed

But many appreciate the flower

One must nurture the seed into existence

Feed it

Water it

Give it love and care and attention

So that what is the beginnings

Can grow into the form that it was meant to take

Seeds are just seed until they are planted

Until they are cultivated

And yet how do you cultivate a flower

When you only have room for the food

When you garden is limited 

And you must feed your children

What use is a flower

Beauty is only beautiful when you stomach is full

When you family is provided for

And even then 

If you have space for the beautiful

Who gives it any attention until it grows into the beauty

To me the seed is beautiful because I know what it could be

But no one else has use for the beginning

They take no notice of the start

They don’t see what you are growing until its grown

They don’t give validity to the leaves and branches that come first

They have no knowledge of the deep roots growing beneath

So if you ask others if you should grow a flower

Many will not see the use of it without the beauty already seen

Many will not understand the cultivating of something that is not yet something

So do you toss the seed away

As a waste of time

Or do you fight for the space and time to grow something 

That they don’t know is beautiful yet
