Hi.

“In this life you will have trouble, but fear not, I have overcome the world.”

This world and the part we play in it is beautiful. Yes, there is brokenness, but I want to look for the beauty of our redemption in it. The Lord has made all things new, even as He is in the process of making us new.

Join me in looking for the beauty in life through thoughts and poems. I am so glad you are here.

Pslam 23

It is easy to say God is good

His timing is perfect

When steps are moving forward

Toward your desired goal

Your desired timeline

But what about when steps are stalled

Or steps are back?

Do we trust?

Do we trust His timing?

What about when he makes us lie down in green pastures?

Do we trust when we aren’t moving forward?

When we aren’t moving at all

Do we trust that his timing might include some sitting still?

Like still waters

When he hems us in behind and before

That means that even steps backward are in His will

He ordains all steps

Even the ones that are not forward

Even the ones that seemingly take us farther from our self stated goal

He makes us lie down when we want to run ahead

He makes us be still when we want to hustle

Sometimes back is the way forward to His will and not our own

Trust when it doesn’t make sense

Trust when the path isn’t a straight line

Trust that He knows the way

That He goes before us

And watches our back

He is always moving

Even if it doesn’t feel forward

Way More Than I Can Handle

Way More Than I Can Handle
