#1 Tea
In college I was a coffee drinker. All day, every day... It was never too early or too late for a cup of coffee. I had that Starbucks Gold card nailed down.
But now, as much as I love my first cup of the day... It has quickly become my only cup of the day. It is a large one. But that second cup now leaves me jittery and a little icky feeling. So I didn't know what to do with my cravings for warm, cozy drinks.
Answer: Tea! My mother-in-law makes a mean Chai tea. But at home I have found Earl Grey with milk and honey satisfies that coffee craving without the gross feeling after effects.
#2 The Armour of God
Women's study at my church is quickly becoming something I look forward to in the week. And this study has a lot to do with it. We have been watching the videos and doing the homework weekly. It is a game changer. This has really helped me unpack this passage that has been illusive to me for many years. I would highly recommend it! It has plenty of substance, and does a good job of being relatable and rooted in strong theology.
#3 Amazon gift cards and new phone cases
My old phone case was awesome, but getting pretty beat up. I was in the market for a new one, and then realized I had some left over Amazon gift cards. Perfect! I rarely buy anything with out a gift card or a discount, so this was just the motivation I needed to make my decision. The new marble pattern is super popular, and also fits into a neutral category so I gave it a shot.
#4 Flea Markets
The husband and I went out of our box to try a new Flea market style business in town last weekend. It was pretty gross. Not at all what I was expecting. But I love thrifting, rummaging, and second hand shopping. He seemed to enjoy himself, which makes me happy because he is finally coming around to the idea of thrifting. It took him a bit to warm up, but this time he seemed to enjoy it more than I did. Score! I see more thrifting and flea markets in our future!
#5 Road trips and friends
This weekend we are heading out of town with some friends. It is a bit of a random adventure, but I am super excited. I love to see different cities and do new things. I will let you know how it goes!
